Commissioner Profile — Medical Processes & Quality of Care
Purpose of the role
This commissioner contributes independent expertise in the areas of mental health care, quality of care, and patient safety. From this supervisory role, he or she oversees the management board’s policy and the general course of affairs, with particular attention to the medical and substantive dimensions, and advises the management board in this regard (Art. 18.1). The commissioner ensures that the medical and substantive perspective is fully taken into account in strategic and operational decisions, without assuming the responsibilities of the management board.
