SCROLL DOWN

When is care at GGZ voor elkaar appropriate?

At GGZ voor elkaar, we strive to provide appropriate psychological care to as many people as possible. Every registration is assessed individually. In doing so, we carefully consider whether the request for help, the severity of the issues, and the type of treatment needed match the care we can provide in our outpatient setting.

In some situations, another form of care may be a better fit for a client’s needs. In that case, we will of course help think along about an appropriate referral, for example through the GP or to another specialized care provider.

Within our organization, we provide outpatient mental health care. In certain situations, more intensive or specialized care may be needed than we can offer within this setting. This may be the case, for example, in situations involving:

An acute psychiatric crisis or suicidality;

Severe addiction problems requiring specialized addiction care;

A need for clinical admission or intensive day treatment;

A treatment need that requires intensive multidisciplinary care beyond the capabilities of our outpatient clinic.

In such situations, we advise you to contact your GP, the crisis service, or a care provider that can offer this form of care.

These situations are not exclusion criteria, but care-content considerations. Every registration is carefully assessed to determine which form of care best matches the client’s situation.
