INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP THERAPY
INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP TREATMENT
Individual treatment
Individual treatment within mental health care focuses on a person’s well-being on an individual basis. In this form of treatment, a patient works together with an experienced clinician to address personal challenges, emotional problems, or mental health conditions. It provides a safe environment in which the patient can speak freely and where the clinician can offer tailored strategies to improve mental health. Individual treatment is highly suitable for addressing specific, personal issues and offers a personalized, tailored approach.
Group treatment
Group treatment is a collective approach to mental health care in which individuals with similar challenges come together under the guidance of a professional therapist. The goal is to discover new strategies and solutions for their challenges by creating a community in which participants can share experiences, find understanding, and learn from one another. Group treatment offers a unique dynamic in which social interaction and group processes form an integral part of the healing process. It can be a valuable addition to individual therapy and has been proven effective for various mental health conditions. In both individual and group treatment, professionals at GGZ voor elkaar strive to create a supportive, confidential, and empathetic environment. These forms of treatment are tailored to the specific needs of patients and contribute to promoting mental well-being and achieving lasting changes in daily life.
